A Special Day At Lofdal Retirement Village - Celebrating Life And Joy

 

On October 23, 2023, Jan’s Heart NPC had the privilege of bringing smiles and joy to the residents of Lofdal Retirement Village. We treated everyone to a day of delightful entertainment, accompanied by the comforting taste of vetkoek and mince—a favorite for all!

 

 

The day was extra special as we celebrated the 90th birthday of one of the residents (Mara Potgieter), a milestone that filled the room with warmth and happiness. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Wiekus van Dyk for serenading us with his beautiful guitar playing and singing, as well as to Charmaine Diedericks for gracing us with her wonderful piano performances. Their music filled the air with joy and made the celebration even more memorable.

 

It was a day of laughter, love, and community—a reminder of the importance of coming together to celebrate life, no matter the age. To all who helped make this day possible, and to the residents of Lofdal Retirement Village, thank you for allowing us to be part of this special moment.
